Last week Friday Sterling Bank tweeted an advertisement portraying themselves as the best among all banks in Nigeria. In the Advert sterling fearlessly used other banks symbol and this attracted a lot of attentions.
The banks involved (Access, Union, First, GTB) fired back with another tweet except GTB, who allegedly went to report Sterling to CBN. it was also gathered that CBN ordered Sterling to take down the advert and apologise to the banks involved. Reacting to this Sterling Bank didn’t hesitate to tender an apology over the ‘shoot for the moon’ advert. Read their apology below:
