This is the shocking moment a wife stripped her husband’s alleged mistress naked before pouring fish sauce on her – and smothering her body with chilli powder.
The jealous wife accused beautician Giang Jun, 30, of having an affair with her partner and dragged her by the hair out of her shop, witnesses said. She was seen tearing off Giang’s top and pulling down her trousers before dousing her in fish sauce.
The scorned lover then smothered extra hot chilli powder over Giang’s body – a disturbing copycat trend which has emerged in Vietnam when wives confront their husband’s mistresses. The brutal scene was photographed by shocked witness David Pam and police are now investigating.
David said: ”There was lots of cursing at the women. The wife said she had been married for ten years and that the beauty spa owner had destroyed her marriage. There were a group of women helping her. She pulled her hair and slapped her. She put chilli powder over her body in the middle of the street. The victim showed no resistance, she just was on the ground and received it. I think she was taken to hospital because of burns caused by the powder.”
Thanh Hoa Police Chief Lam Son Ward said officers received a call at 10pm on Tuesday about a girl who was jealous and had attacked another woman with fish sauce and chilli. He said: ”When officers arrived, all parties involved had left the scene. The cause of the case is now being verified. There are signs of a crime being committed by humiliating another person.” Nguyen Chi Phuong, head of Thanh Hoa police station, said: ”The unit has identified the girl who was assaulted in the incident and we are encouraging this girl to file a complaint. However, she is afraid of the consequences. After the investigation is completed, the public security bodies will handle the case strictly according to the law with regards to the violence displayed, the hooliganism and the lack of culture.” The alleged attacker could be charged with humiliating another person, intentionally inflicting injury and causing public disorder.
