He might no longer be making his expected show in Nigeria again but at least Floyd Mayweather is expected to keep his Las Vegas boxing match appointment with cage fighter Conor McGregor on August 26, 2017. The announcement was made late last night in what promises to be one of the biggest nights in boxing history and unsurprisingly everyone wants to be a part of it.
Including the Nigerian-born unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. High stake bouts like the Mayweather-McGregor usually make allowances for an undercard – a match of lesser significance between two boxers before the main match. And Anthony has previously signalled his willingness to participate in such match if the boxing champ and the fighting champ ever agreed to battle.
