Iran Vs Portugal: This Is Why Ronaldo Begged Iran Fans To Be Quiet

Five-time world best footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted on live television gesturing to Iranian fans to be quiet after they surprisingly surrounded Portugal’s hotel in the early hours of Monday morning.

The Portugal international was forced to come to his hotel window as Iranian fans gathered outside the team’s hotel in an attempt to disrupt their opponents’ sleep ahead of Iran’s final group stage match of the tournament.

Iranian fans revealed their intents via social media saying they were trying to trouble Portugal in order to stand a better chance of qualifying for the last 16.
The Iran fans took matters beyond friendly sportsmanship as they gathered with Vuvuzelas, horns and a giant drum outside the hotel. Their plan seemingly worked as Ronaldo was seen waving a finger before gesturing that the players were trying to sleep.
