Germany Vs Sweden: Germans Target Successful World Cup After Disappointing Start

It is win or nothing for Germany when they face Sweden at the Fisht Stadium in Russia.

The defending champions now target a successful World Cup tournament after their disappointing start. “We must all stick together on Saturday,” German football federation chief Reinhard Grindel. “I think we all have the same goal of a successful World Cup after a disappointing start.”

Germany suffered a shock 1-0 defeat against Mexico in their opening World Cup match on Sunday, and coach Joachim Loew is under pressure to deliver when they face a defensive Sweden side that defeated South Korea. “We are a compact team. We don’t attack so often. We want to prevent scoring chances against us,” Sweden midfielder Emil Forsberg told dpa.
