Nigerian-born New Zealand world middleweight MMA champion Isreal Adesanya has signed recently signed a multi-year deal with international sportswear giant Puma. He will is the face of Puma’s Oceania division and will also be part of their global marketing plans.
Isreal Adesanya makes history as he becomes the first MMA fighter to ever be sponsored by Puma this announcement is coming just days ahead of his middleweight title defense against Paulo Costa on Saturday on September 26, at the main event of UFC 253.
Puma announced on Thursday September 17, 2020, its deal with Adesanya which entails both apparels and shoes sponsorship.
Per the UFC’s uniform sponsorship deal with Reebok currently, and with Venum starting in April 2021, Adesanya can’t wear Puma gear in the cage for his fights.
