Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has revealed that he resigned from his political appointment in 2019 to support the presidential ambition of former Vice-president Atiku Abubakar in 2019. The actor shared this via a post on social media and revealed that he supported Atiku because he wanted a positive turnaround for Nigeria.
In the forthcoming 2023 election, Edochie had stated that he wished to run for Presidency and in his post, asked Atiku for support. He shared that it is time for the South-East to produce the next President. He noted that he hope Atiku will support him the way he supported him during the last elections.

However, Atiku lost to the All Progressive Congressive party Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 elections. Recall that Yul a few days ago solicited funds from the public to support his presidential campaign.
