There is no one who has never regretted over packing for a trip. At the moment of packing, all items seem like they’ll be useful but when you finally arrive, you begin to wish you hadn’t listened to that urge to travel with that item.

I’ve come to realize that sometimes an instinct that pushes you to pack an item might just be wrong. So, to make sure that you do not pack the wrong item, here’s a list of five items that there’s really no need taking with you.
1. Excess gadgets:

Well, except your traveling is for the purpose of writing, photography and documentary, you would want to drop some of the gadgets you ere stuffing into your bag.
Phones, laptops, cameras are distracting devices on their own and they will rob you of the opportunity to truly enjoy the moment and the location you have traveled to.
2. Toiletries – soap and shampoo:

There’s a huge possibility that the hotel you are going to stay has soaps and shampoos given to visitors. So, it will be frustrating if you pack your catalog of beauty products only to realize that the hotel you’re residing has made arrangement for all this.
I will advise however that you’re certain the hotel offers this, so you’re not disappointed.

3. Excess Cash:
First off, in a world where going cashless is fast becoming a norm, it will be eerie for you to move to a new location with so much cash. There’s the possibility of the cash being stolen and you wouldn’t want that. If you’re travelling to a different country from where you reside, there’s the option of you changing the money at the bank, so fret not.
4. Multiple pair of shoes:
Depends on the reason I am traveling an the duration I am staying, I always go for three pair of footwear. One, a slippers to walk around in. Two, shoes for formal event and either a pair of sandal or boot for hike and casual walk-ins with friend.
It can be really cumbersome traveling with so many footwear.
5. Multiple Clothing:
Well, except of course you’re a fashion blogger or the event you’re traveling for is fashion related, you want to limit the clothes you’ll take with you to the ones that you will wear.
The funny thing about packing clothes you do not need is not felt when you’re packing them. It is on your return trip you’ll realize how heavy your bag is and why you shouldn’t have bothered packing those items.
P.S – Like I said last week, it is advisable that you put a hold on every traveling plans until the global coronavirus pandemic is totally eradicated. Do leave a comment below if you think I missed any item and do stay safe.
