Osimhen Is Extremely Strong, Worth Over €100m – Simeone

Diego Simeone, Athletico de Madrid manager believes Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen is worth more than €100m.

Osimhen has proven to be one of the finest attackers in the world following his world class performances for Napoli this season.

His goals have undoubtedly contributed to Napoli clinching the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years.

The Nigerian international is the top scorer in the Serie A with 23 goals in 28 matches as he went on to break former Liberian international, George Weah’s goal scoring record.

The forward has attracted the interest of some European heavyweights despite claims by Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis that he is not for sale.

Simeone suggested that a fee in the region of over €100m must be paid for Osimhen if the striker is to leave Napoli this summer.

“The Nigerian (Osimhen) is incredibly strong,” Simeone said in an exclusive interview with Italian sports publication, Gazzetta dello Sport.

“There are few players with his characteristics out there, and I believe he could be worth over a hundred million. I’m not saying that he should be sold, but I’m just repeating the kind of reasoning I make for my Atletico.”
