Champions League: Tottenham Dumped Out By AC Milan
Tottenham have been knocked out of the Champions League in poor showing against Italian rivals, AC Milan at the White Hart Lane. Cristian Romero saw a red card in the second half to reduce the Spurs team to 10-men.
AC Milan maintained a one goal lead from the first leg at the San Siro and held Spurs to a goalless draw in the second leg. They progressed to the last eight of the Champions League with an aggregate score of 1-0.

Spurs were unable to overturn a one-goal deficit from the first leg despite having more ball possession with Harry Kane coming close late in the second through a header saved by Milan goalie Mike Maignan.
It was Milan that looked dangerous going forward with Tottenham goalie Fraser Forster making a save from a Giroud shot before denying Brahim Diaz with second half substitute Divock Origi’s effort hitting the post in injury time.

The final whistle was met by boos from the home supporters who have been trophyless for 15 years and now have a top four finish to play for with Tottenham coach, Antonio Conte’s contract set to expire in 12 games.
