Nollywood star Kemi Lala Akindoju is sharing her experience with breastfeeding after she welcomed her son earlier in the year. The actress shared a post on her Instagram page to celebrate world breastfeeding week and noted that breastfeeding wasn’t a beautiful experience for her.
According to her, she did everything possible to produce enough milk for her son but nothing worked and she eventually resulted to feeding him formula. Lala in the post urged women going through the same experience to take things easy on themselves, adding that the most important thing is that their babies are well fed, either through formula or breastmilk.
She explained that the calls from aunties insisting she breastfeeds didn’t make things easy at all but she is grateful to her husband who was extremely supportive and encouraged her to consider formula feeding for their son rather than subject herself to a lot of pain.
