Lagos Flood: One Dead As Another Building Collapses In Magodo Phase 1

Following the partial collapse of a building in Agege as a result of the incessant rainfall and flood, another building has collapsed in Magodo Phase 1, leading to the death of a woman.
LASEMA revealed this in a series of tweets, noting that a fence of one of the house in the area collapsed on a one-storey building as a result of mudslide.
LASEMA reported that female adult had died from the collapse after she was rushed to the hospital for treatment, adding that the entire area is vulnerable to more collapse and has been cordoned off by the LRT to prevent any secondary incidence.
“COLLAPSED BUILDING AT UNITY Close off Adebiyi Street, Magodo Phase 1, Isheri Police Station. Upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that a fence collapsed on a one storey building as a result of mudslide thereby making the entire area vunurable to more collapse. Further investigation revealed that an adult female lost her life at the scene of incident but had been moved to the hospital before the arrival of the LRT.“

“However, LRT, Physical Planning led by Dr. Idris Salako (commissioner), LASBCA led by GM Engr. Abiola Kosegbe and the Police were responders at the scene of incident. The entire area has been cordoned off by the LRT to prevent any secondary incident as the Commissioner for Physical Planning has directed Lagos State Building Control Agency, LABSCA for further action“, the tweet reads.
