Ralf Rangnick Set To Be Unveiled As Man Utd’s Interim Manager – Lawyer Confirms

The German manager whose names has been on the lips of most football lovers, fans and ardent supporters, Ralf Rangnick after news broke that he was set to take over the reins at Manchester United until the end of the season is set to be unveiled after United’s Super Sunday’s game against Chelsea, this was confirmed on Friday, November 26th by his lawyer, saying the final details of Ralf’s contract with United being put in place. Ralf Rangnick’s legal representative explained to AFP subsidiary SID that the final stones of the deal were being ironed out.

Ralf Rangnick would be leaving his current role as Head of Sports and Development at Russian Club Lokomotiv Moscow, only to return at the end of his interim role at United come May 2022.

The German tactician is set to replace the failed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer project Man Utd, and help steady the ship at Man Utd, while also retaining a consultancy role even after his 6-months interim role, retaining the power to influence transfer process, and strategies, to also help in the signing of new players.

United are planning to make a permanent appointment at the end of the campaign, with Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino strongly linked with the job.

Having helped oversee RB Leipzig’s rise from the fifth tier of German football to the Bundesliga and Champions League, Rangnick comes with loads of experience.

Michael Carrick took charge of the United team for Tuesday’s Champions League win at Villarreal, which secured progress to the knockout stage.

If Rangnick takes the helm of United, he will be the third German manager currently in England’s top-flight alongside Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.
