Panic As Armed Robbers Attack Bullion Van In Ibadan

Armed robbers have reportedly killed some persons at the Iwo Road area of Ibadan, just after attacking a bullion van. It was gathered that the Idi-Ape area of Iwo Road was deserted while the operation by the hoodlums lasted.

A resident of the area, who identified himself as Waheed Adegoke, reported to Punch that the robbers attacked a bullion van and carted away money from it. “The armed robbers attacked a vehicle conveying money at Idi-Ape. It happened at that junction where the traffic light was. “Some lives were lost but I don’t know the exact number. The situation is terrible!”

The robbers reportedly took advantage of the mayhem created by traders’ clashes in Gbagi international market to attack the bullion van. During the robbery attack, drivers left their cars and ran for dear life. Passengers also ran off from commercial vehicles. A video of the aftermath shows cars lined up on the road without the owners in it.
