NBC Grants TV Broadcast License To NYSC

The National Broadcasting Cooperation (NBC) has given a broadcast TV license to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The Youth service corps would commence Direct Satellite Broadcasting as well as Internet Protocol Television.

National Broadcast Commission NBC KOKO TV NGThe NYSC Director-General, Major General Shuaibu Ibrahim, received the broadcast licence from his NBC director-general, Mallam Balarabe Ilela, in Abuja on Wednesday. The NBC DG said the Federal Government would give more voice to the scheme to tell the NYSC story; especially its tremendous achievements to the whole world.

He said that the NYSC, as one of the successful achievements of the Yakubu Gowon administration, has achieved its purpose of uniting the country in several ways and also contributing immensely to national development.

NYSCorps MembersHe said, “The commission normally gives license in trust and we believe this will be used for the purpose it is given. We are very proud to be part of your progress. With somebody like you, we are sure our license is in safe hands.” The DG of the scheme assured that the NYSC would utilize the opportunity of the broadcast station to promote its programs, including government policies and programs.
