Oshiomhole Wanted To Use Me To Remove Obaseki – Deputy Gov Philip Shuaibu

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shuaibu has accused the former National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole of trying to use him against his boss Godwin Obaseki in the bid to remove him as Governor of Edo State. Philip Shuaibu and Adams Oshiomhole

Comrade Philip Shuaibu made this public while speaking to newsmen on Thursday, August 6. Comrade Shuaibu claimed he begged Oshiomhole to forgive and let go of any grievances he might hold against Obaseki because Gov. Obaseki has done a great job for the people of Edo State but he said all of this fell on deaf ears.

Comrade Philip Shuaibu said ever since Oshiomhole declared war on the Governor, he made a promise to stand with his successor no matter what might come from it. Shuaibu further alleged that the ploy was to remove Obaseki and he takes over from him but he turned it down because it was not in his “will nor nature” to betray.

The deputy governor who said he will fight to the very last to ensure that Obaseki is defended the same way he defended Oshiomhole when there were plots against him in Edo State, added that he will not stand for the form of oppression which Oshiomhole is championing.

Shuaibu went on to challenge Oshiomhole to come and test his popularity when the votes are to be cast.
