Super Eagles midfielder, Ogehenekaro Etebo, has pulled out of the Super Eagles games against Algeria and Tunisia after picking up an injury with his club side.
This is coming a day after the Nigeria Football Federation NFF announced that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen had been ruled out of the games, now joined by Oghenekaro Etebo, it was announced on the official Eagles twitter page Monday morning October 5th.
The Super Eagles were billed to take on Algeria on Friday, Oct 9th, and was set to slug it out four days later with the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia on Tuesday, October 13th.
Both games are set to hold in Austria.
“@NGSuperEagles midfielder @etebo_karo is out of the friendly games against Algeria and Tunisia. He picked up a knock in his club’s game in Turkey yesterday. #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong,” the NFF tweeted on Monday (today).
Oghenekaro Etebo becomes the third Eagles player to pull out of the friendlies after Wilfred Ndidi – who was also injured – and Victor Osimhen – who was excused from the team due to COVID-19 restrictions in Napoli.
