Singer Naira Marley has been arraigned before an Abuja mobile court for violating COVID-19 protocols.  The FCT Administration filed a four-count charge against him for hosting a concert in Jabi Lake Mall in Abuja, in clear violation of COVID-19 directives on June 13, flouting the presidential ban on Interstate travels and public gatherings.

 Naira Marley pleaded guilty and the presiding magistrate Idayat Akanni handed down a fine of N200, 000 on him. This comes a day after a mobile court in Lagos also fined him and his manager N100, 000 for travel out of the state for the concert. The singer a few months ago performed at a drive through concert in Abuja at the Jabi Lake mall.
