Soapy crooner Naira Marley has pleaded guilty to the allegations laid against him concerning the drive-in concert he had in Abuja and has been fined 100 thousand naira.
The music star, alongside his manager Seyi Awouga were arraigned before The Lagos State Special Offences (Mobile) Court, Oshodi today, following their arrest and detention by Lagos State Police.
The one count charge laid against them bothers on breach of the cessation of movement and interstates travel order made by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under Regulation 4(i) of the Lagos State Infectious Disease Emergency Prevention) Regulation No 2 of 2020 and committed an offence punishable under Section 58 Public Health Law, Ch. When the charge was read to them, they both pleaded guilty and were subsequently awarded 100,000 naira fine.
