The Smart Money Woman tv series is an adaptation of the 2016 book with the same title, it was brought to life on screen by talented actresses such as Toni Tones, Ini Dima-Okojie, Osas Ighodaro Ajibade, Lala Akindoju, and Ebenezer Eno. The book and the series, tackles debt, spending, the consumerist culture of the African middle class, the fear and misconceptions surrounding money, and the lack of it. Love, friendships, cultural and societal pressures, and the roles and themes exploited in this body of work. The storyline of this series is worth applauding, as it did not spare the various sects of people who choose consciously and unconsciously to become susceptible to the demands of money. Money itself is powerful and can make or mar one’s life. This fact is highlighted to the peak in this series, which makes it a must-watch for every breathing person, be you rich or poor. A superb storyline, well written and plotted. Its level of relatability is one rare quality that this story possesses, and this quality differentiates it from other movies, in ace. Was the storyline well depicted, represented, and portrayed, we can say a very big yes to that question, having the perfect cast.

One character we have to commend is Tami played by Ini Dima-Okojie, one of the new generation of actresses taking Nollywood to the top is this fine talent. She defined the character of a trust fund baby, who has daddy to take care of her. In terms of her mentality, mannerism, gestures, come on, she ate up her role un ace. Another character worth mentioning is Lara played by Toni Tones. Her role in The Smart Woman Money, is worth remembering, as she stands as that voice that tells you all your wrongs at the right time. The scene where she beat up her younger was definitely epic, Toni Tones embodied the perfect elder sister, who works her a*s out to take care of her extended family. These two actresses were remarkable, and we have to make that mention. Although the likes of Zuri (Osas Ighodaro), Adesuwa (Lala Akindoju), Ladun (Eno Ebenezer), Patrick Diabuah, Bobby (Timini Egbuson) gave us a good watch. If there is one thing The Smart Woman Money flaunted in our faces, it was fashion and style. My gawd, the costumier of The Smart Woman Money did an outstanding job and it helped add color to the individual scenes. Speaking of scenes, the seamless flow from one scene to another, and the pictorial quality was top-notch. A sight to behold is what the eyes need, and this series gets a thumbs up in this area.  We can’t help but commend the various sets, the walk-in ward ropes, the restaurants, come on, this series was indeed well thought out.

A very unique thing about The Smart Woman Money, is the fact that they had numerous sponsors obviously, but the way they portrayed these sponsors was blissful. It didn’t look like they were trying to advertise their sponsors, good job. We can’t help but notice and mention the lovely musical arrangement on which this series rode. The musicality was perfect, and the music director that arranged the score for this body of work is indeed a gem.
Final Thoughts
The Smart Money Woman is a movie that highlights how to be financially responsible and frugal. With the kind of economy Nigeria has, it is a messiah of some sort to have a graphical representation that appeals to the eyes and senses on how to be frugal. The Smart Woman Money gets an 8/10, no cap.
