M1 highway, Johannesburg has now been closed due to the shooting of a man on the highway.
Following the shooting of a man in Johannesburg, A portion of M1 highway, South Africa has been closed off to activities.The shooting incident reportedly happened on this afternoon on the M1 North near the Glenhove offramp. The man shot was reportedly in his 30s. He was shot while driving an Audi A4 car.
It was alleged that the victim is a Pakistan driving along the highway. Two suspects approached his car during traffic congestion on the highway. The suspects fired shots severally at the man and sped off in a white Elantra car.
According to The Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) spokesperson Wayne Minnaar, a man in his 30’s was shot multiple times. The J.M.P.D spokesman said,”All we know at this point is that a man, believed to be in his 30s, driving a white Audi was shot approximately eight times”.
A case of murder has since been opened for investigation and no arrests have been made at this stage.
