Spanish midfielder Thiago Alcantara has earlier today Friday, September 18 signed for the Premier League champions Liverpool for a fee reportedly worth £20 million ($26 million).
The former Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara agreed to a “long-term contract” with the Premier League champions after spending the last 7 years with serving Bayern Munich and recently helping them win the Champions League title.
Thiago was part of the all-conquering Bayern side that won a treble at the just concluded season winning the Bundesliga, German DFB Pokal Cup and the UCL.
Thiago in his unveiling interview with Liverpool’s website, said, “I think it’s an amazing feeling. I was waiting for this moment for a long time and I am very happy to be here”.
It is reported that Liverpool are on the verge of confirming the signing of Portuguese midfielder Diogo Jota from Premier League rivals Wolves for a fee in the region of £35 million including add-ons,.
