Social media users and guests at a Lagos party were thrown into confusion when they received a keg of fuel each as a souvenir at the event amidst the ongoing fuel scarcity in the country. Nigerians over the last few weeks have been thrown into agony, pain, and suffering spending several hours at fuel stations and on the road due to traffic from the queues.
The party which was revealed as the Erelu foundation installation party has gone viral as organizers of the party decided to warm the hearts of their guests as they gave each of them kegs of fuel. A Twitter user who attended the event and also shared photos and videos from the event assured everyone that it wasn’t groundnut oil but fuel. This gift has sparked up various reactions on social media.
