Ikoyi Building: Death Toll Rises To 21 As 2 More Bodies Are Recovered

The shocking news of the collapse of a building at Ikoyi is still a tragic incident. Reports have stated that two more bodies have been recovered from the debris.

So far it has been stated that the building was supposed to be a 21 storey building but was made to be a 25 storey hence the collapse. A lot of family members have been at the site since the event as they hope and pray for their loved ones who have not been found to be rescued.

The governor of Lagos state has stated that they will prosecute anyone found to be the reason for the collapse.

Two more bodies have been recovered from the rubbles of the collapsed building on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos State. The bodies were brought out in body bags around 11am and put inside a van of the Ministry of Health. This brings to 21 the number of casualties in the unfortunate incident.
