Nollywood fast-rising actress Eriata Ese has advised Nigerians to fake their lifestyle till they make it so they can attract the right opportunities. The TV personality in a post shared on her Snapchat account narrated her friend’s experience and how she missed out on a great opportunity because she didn’t look the part.
The TV star revealed that her friend lost a multi-million naira deal after she showed up to the company in a Toyota Camry instead of a Prado Jeep, a MOPOL officer, and a driver the way others do when they show up to the company. She shared that in Lagos a lot of people rate others by appearance, the car that they drive, the area they live. Eriata explained that her friend could have gone there presenting a fake appearance but she chose to be herself because she knew what she was bringing to the table. She said today’s society loves wash paired with intelligence.
