Senator Dino Melaye, who was the representative in the Kogi West Senatorial District, has made his interest known in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections in Kogi State.
He made his intentions known when he took to his verified Twitter handle to tweet, “no more stealing and killings”, with a campaign poster.

KOKO TV reports that his move is coming barely a month after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar got defeated at the February 25th presidential elections.
The former lawmaker was one of the spokespersons for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Campaign Council, PCC, during Atiku’s campaign.
Atiku of the PDP was, however, defeated by the current president-elect, Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Recall that Dino Melaye had also slugged it out in May 2022 with Hon. T.J Yusuf for the senatorial ticket on the platform of the PDP, who he lost to.
