Chance The Rapper Reportedly Slammed With Copyright Infringement Suit

According to circulating reports, Grammy award-winning American rapper, Chance The Rapper has been sued for copyright infringement by jazz musician, Abdul Wali Muhammad formerly known as Eric P. Saunders.In the suit, Muhammad claims that Chance sampled his song “Bridge Through Time” without his permission in the track “Windows” from Chance’s debut 2012 mixtape 10 Day.Although 10 Day is not a retail release, the suit alleges that Chance has received profits from the marketing, promotion and sale of merchandise, performances, tickets to concerts and other performances as a result of his use of the sample on Windows.
