DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the spokesperson of the Ogun state police command, has called on Nollywood actors and the censor’s board to regulate the kind of movies they put out to reduce the menace of money rituals in the society.

He also called on religious bodies to stop preaching about prosperity but teach young ones about morality to reduce the crime rate in the society.

Oyeyemi made the call while parading the 18-year-old man, Soliu Majekodunmi, who conspired with his friends to kill his girlfriend for money rituals in the state.

While speaking to newsmen, Oyeyemi said these suspects learn the evil acts form the movies they watch.

“This can only be described as a superlative degree of callousness. It is despicable and barbaric at this time for somebody to still have it in mind that money can be made if he sacrifices the life of a fellow human being.

More so, what is it that teenagers want to use money for that will lead them to this type of heinous crime? It is still beyond the comprehension of a normal human being
