‘Sittin on Top of the World’, the song by Burna Boy and ‘Sability’ by Ayra Starr have featured on Barack Obama’s summer playlist for 2023
The former US president unveiled the annual summer playlist, which houses 41 songs, via his social media page on Thursday.
The list features songs across different musical genres.
Other songs on the list include ‘Who Told You’ by J Hus ft. Drake, ‘Princess Diana’ by Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj, ‘Golden Lady’ by Stevie Wonder and ‘Got Til It’s Gone’ by Janet Jackson among others

In an accompanying post, Obama said he “looks forward to hearing what I have missed”.
“Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer, a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed,” he wrote.
Obama began the tradition during his last days as the leader of the “free world” when he partnered with Spotify, the US streaming platform, to handpick his favourite songs.

Burna Boy and Ayra Starr also made the former president’s 2022 favourite song of the year list.
