Amotekun Shooting: Court Orders Ondo To Pay Amputee N30m

An Ondo High Court sitting in Akure has ordered the Ondo State Government to pay Oluwasegun Oluwarotimi N30m as damages for the gunshot injuries he suffered in an encounter with operatives of the State Security Network codenamed Amotekun Corps.

In the suit filed by Tope Temokun Chambers, Justice O.M Adejumo, condemned the shooting of the Oluwarotimi that led to the amputation of his leg.

Oluwarotimi, 36, was an okada rider when the incident occured.
In other news, the osun state Amotekun arrested some young men for stealing food items.

Retired Brig.-Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi, the state Amotekun Commander, made this known to newsmen on Tuesday.

Adewinmbi said the boys, who are 13 and 11 years respectively, gained access into a shop at Asubiaro, Osogbo in the early hours of Saturday, and stole recharge cards, noodles, beverages and some cash.

He noted that the suspects were later arrested in the day, at about 6.24 pm, in an uncompleted building, after the incident was reported to the Amotekun Osogbo Command by the shop owner.

The Commander narrated: “The duo was arrested at their hideout after our operatives received intelligence about their location.
