Nigerian youths have again proven to be responsible as the sect in Agege Local Government Area of Lagos clean up the mess in the society caused by the looting and vandalism which has taken over the nation from the protests.
This was revealed in a statement released by the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Agege Local Branch.
“In the quest to clear the air on the misconceptions around the vandalization of properties by the hoodlums during the #EndSARS peaceful protest, the NYCN Agege embarked on CLEAN UP PROJECT at the Police Divisional HQ, Isokoko and Pen Cinema Police Station today with the presence of youths from Community Based Organizations and Voluntary Youth Organization”, the statement began.
The statement revealed that the exercise was carried out with the support of the department of Environment of the Local Government Area, and had present Rt. Hon. Mudashir Obasa the Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly who was ably represented by Mr. Dare Ojole the SSA to Speaker on Media, amongst others. Appreciating everyone present at the program as well as the media representation – Agege TV, Agege Pulse, PEAK TV amongst others, the Coordinator, NYCN local branch Com. Oyewale Sunday note that the clean up is a tip of what the youths stand for and they hope to do more in a bid to have a sane community.
