For the umpteenth time, another building, a three-story has collapsed in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA made this known in a statement released via its official Twitter handle.
According to the statement, the agency received distress calls that the building, located at the Excel College, 15, Ansarudeen Street, Ile Epo Bus Stop, collapsed at about 8:15 am. The agency’s Director, Oke-Osanyintolu, noted that the three-story building has two wings conjoined and the wing that collapsed has seriously affected the second wing, leaving visible cracks on the walls, pillars and decking. “SITUATION REPORT:A COLLAPSED BUILDING AT EXCEL COLLEGE, 15, ANSARUDEEN STREET, ILE EPO BUS STOP, EJIGBO Upon arrival at the incident scene, it was observed that a 3-Storey building (Excel College)had collapsed. Distress calls established that the building collapsed 8:15am. The three storey building has two wings conjoined, the wing that collapsed has seriously affected the second wing as visible cracks can be seen on the walls, pillars and decking.
