Following his passing, tributes have started pouring in for veteran actor and Tinsel star Victor Olaotan, who passed on the the great beyond on the morning of Friday 27th August, 2021. Recall that the actor had been bedridden for 5 years since he got into a ghastly accident in 2016 along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway.
He had been flown to Turkey for treatment but was recently brought back to Nigeria as the family could not foot the medical bills and help seems not to be coming in any longer.
Announcing his death, his wife reportedly said her husband can now rest after the years of being “trapped in his own body”.
Penning down a note to him, actor Richard Mofe-Damijo RMD shared a picture and video of him, recalling some memories they shared. “Memories flood my mind. Every time I play or hear Adekunle Gold’s Orente… I remember how much you loved that song, it was our song. You not only made me love it, you gave me a mixed tape with the song in it. You were such a vibe. I’m glad our loved ones never die, more-so actors. But live in our memories forever. My deepest condolences to your wife and family. Rest in power my friend and brother. #victorolaotan #Rmdsaysso”, he wrote.

Social Impact Entrepreneur Tope Fajingbesi Balogun also took to her Instagram page to share a picture of she and the deceased Victor Olaotan together, recalling how she had met in in real life 7 months before his accident. “Glad I met you in real life… Who could have predicted how much your life would change 7 months after we took this photo at the #amvca in March 2016? Indeed death and life are two sides of the same coin — the only coin we truly own. Rest In Peace #victorolaotan”, she wrote.
