5 Simple Ways To Keep The Romance Alive In Your Relationship

“… and they lived happily ever after!” Such words are common in the fantasy animations we watched as kids.

The reality, however, is that it is achievable to live happily but it needs an accompanied effort from both partners. How do you ensure that your relationship gets to stand the test of time as you endlessly enjoy each other’s company?

1. Keep dating: 
Do you remember how rejuvenating the first dates you went with your partner felt? All that time you spent learning new things about each other and how good it made you feel. You can keep that warmth alive by continuing with this regime.
Understandably, life brings many priorities in terms of children and busier careers. This, however, should not be the reason behind you stopping to go our together. Create time when you put everything aside and concentrate on each other. This will revamp your relationship even in the hardest of times.

2. Stay positive and count your blessings: 
Concentrating too much on the negative will be something that you’ll want to look into and correct. In many cases, you’ll realize that the more positive energy you revolve around your relationship through positive thoughts, actions and words of affirmation to your partner, the more flourishing you get.

Use boredom as a chance to reignite things: Boredom is a normal occurrence especially when you’ve been with someone for so long. Boredom should play out as your cue to be more deliberate in reigniting your relationship flame. You can decide to visit a new place, or do something you’ve wanted for a while but hadn’t got a chance.
This should also include revamping your sex life with new techniques and things that please you two. At the end of the day, you’ll appreciate you took your boredom phase as a clock reminder that more has to be done to get things up on the right track.

4. Watch movies or plays together: For most couples, approaching some deep conversations around their relationship brews a level of unnecessary tension. Movies are there to solve that. When you watch a romantic movie together, for instance, you’re able to possibly see your issues mirrored through other people’s lenses.

5. Pursue new adventures: To keep the spark alive, you’ll have to make doing new things a normal. This boosts your oxytocin levels as a couple. It could be an online class, or some hike. Whichever path your interests take you, make a habit of not remaining on the same constant level. You’ll learn a lot about each other and rekindle your love for ages.
