Zambian University Apologize For “Half-Naked” Warning

The University of Zambia has apologized for warning female students not to visit its library in scantily dressed outfits on the grounds that it would distract men.
The country’s leading University reinstated that it had no dress code and it would not indulge old discredited misogynist fashion views.
The controversy started when a notice was placed in the school library warning young ladies against what it described as “half-naked” dressing.
It warning sparked a division between scholars as some students supported the warning while some others stood against it.

Retracting the warning, the university librarian, Christine Kanyengo said the notice did not reflect the views of the library’s management.
She said: “We would like to unreservedly apologise to our female library users for any offence caused. All female students should “feel comfortable” when using the library. Tolerance and diversity is the bedrock of our institution,” she concluded.
