Nollywood actress Zainab Balogun-Nwachukwu has taken to social media to open up on her struggle with stage 4 endometriosis a condition that affects women’s reproductive health causing painful periods in women involving ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the tissue lining of the pelvis.
The month of March is set aside across the world to celebrate the condition encouraging test, detection, treatment for women and the colour of celebration is Yellow. The actress who deals with the condition narrated her experience, management, and treatment on her page. She shared that she was really happy to finally have an accurate diagnosis because it meant she finally knew the root of twenty-something years of excruciating pain. Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women. It’s an unseen chronic condition that is often misdiagnosed.
