Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello debunked the news making rounds online, that he has contracted the deadly coronavirus disease. 
The rumours had broke that Gov. Yahaya Bello had contracted the disease that he may have contracted after making contact with the Chief of Staff of President Buhari, Abba Kyari, who was reported to have tested positive. The rumours were fueled due to the recent visit of Abba Kyari to Governor Bello’s dead mothers 3 days burial prayer and both men met and shook hands at the event.
The Governor took to his Facebook page, to share a video where he was seen getting his sweat on a treadmill while speaking about the COVID-19 disease and wished death upon those who said he had caught the disease by them also contracting HIV. He said he can never have it because God is with him and the spirit of his mother is watching over him. He also stated that the COVID-19 pandemic will end in 21days.
The governor added that all the ”noise” about COVID-19 is political and for financial gain.
There are a lot of lies about COVID. There are a lot of politics about COVID. I am not playing politics with my people’s lives or pretend and steal money because of this so called pandemic.
I can assure you that 90% of the noise about COVID is political, economical, financial and material gain. The remaining 10% is the flu” he said
