The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), have claimed that Yoruba politicians are attacking Igbos in Lagos State with political thugs and criminals.
IPOB made this claim while stating that it’s actions are based on trying to protect the interest of Igbos residing and doing business in Lagos State.

Emma Powerful, the spokesperson of IPOB made the claim in a statement he issued.
The statement reads, “We are aware that Yoruba politicians are using political thugs and criminals to attack Ndigbo in Lagos, but they will regret their actions soon.
“Ndigbo in Lagos should know that IPOB is not looking for popularity but only interested in protecting ALL Biafrans irrespective of their location in the world until Biafra is restored and beyond.”
Spare part markets populated by Igbos have been targeted and burnt down.

The attacks started after the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, polled more votes in the February 25th presidential election in Lagos State.
