The Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Yobe State, Goni Bukar Lawan, has been killed in a fatal crash.
Lawan, a former member of the House of Representatives, was said to have died in the lone fatal crash involving his vehicle on Tuesday night, on his way to Kano State.

The Federal Road Safety Corps in Bauchi State confirmed the incident to newsmen on Wednesday. The FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Yusuf Abdullahi, said the incident happened at about 6.15 pm on Tuesday.

He added that the fatal crash occurred adjacent to A.Y. Dagauda Fueling Station at Dagauda Village, along Dambam – Potiskum in Dambam local government area of Bauchi state.
