The presidential media aide Femi Adesina has spoken on the sack of service chiefs in the country earlier today by President Buhari. The media aide shared his thoughts on the sack today during a live programme on Channels TV called Politics Today.
Mr Adesina mentioned that despite the sack of the service chiefs he cannot say that they have failed. He shared that the decision of the president to sack the service chiefs after 5 years and 5 months of being in office is a decision that he had to take at the given time. He shared that it was time to have fresh energy, fresh ideas in the security of the country so they had to be sacked and replaced with new ones.

Earlier today the president announced the sack of the former service chiefs and immediate appointment of new ones. In his statement on Twitter, Femi Adesina mentioned that the president appreciates the outgoing service chief for their effort in serving the country.
