World Cancer Day: 5 Nigerian Celebrities That Died From Cancer

World cancer day was celebrated yesterday February 4th and today, we will be discussing 5 Nigerian celebrities that succumbed to cancer.
Aisha Abimbola
The Nollywood actress passed on May 15th, 2018 after battling breast cancer for a few months. The actress popularly known as Omoge campus died in faraway Canada. She was 47 when she died.
Yinka Craig
Uncle Yithe nka as he was fondly passed on September 23rd, 2008 after a long battle with cancer. The ace broadcaster passed after a two year battle at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, United States. Uncle Yinka was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma before his demise. His son Olamide who announced his death wrote; “It is with a heavy heart, and joy at God’s perfect will that I announce the passing on to glory of my father, teacher, mentor and friend, Mr. Olayinka Babasanya Craig, who went to be with the Lord at 6.00am this (Tuesday) morning.
“He was a pioneer radio and television broadcaster, sports journalist extraordinaire and a national icon.”
Remi Osholake
Fashion designer Remi Osholake popularly known as Remi Lagos died from Uterine cancer on November 3rd, 2012. The ace fashion designer died at the age of 51 at Harley Street Clinic in London.
Taiwo Bello
Nollywood producer Taiwo Bello lost his battle with cancer back in 2012. Reports had it then that the ace producer who co-wrote Funke Akindele’s hit movie Jenifa passed on April 13. He had been bedridden for months before finally losing his battle with cancer.
Sunny Okosun
Music legend Sunny Okosun died from colon cancer on May 24, 2008 at Howard University Hospital in Washington DC, the USA. He was 61 when he died.Photo Credit: Getty
