This was announced by the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Abuja chapter, after the confirmation of the country’s third case of COVID-19.
In a statement signed by the association’s president, Roland Aigbovo, it said the move had become necessary following the government’s failure to attend to their financial obligations.

He said the decision to begin the action was debated extensively following the return of the coronavirus and its associated health challenges.
