From the dawn of time, Jurgen Klopp has stood tall as Pep Guardiola’s biggest nightmare in the world of coaching. The German tactician has always been the biblical snake that bruises Guardiola’s heel, while Guardiola bruise Klopp’s head.
In their 12 meetings thus far, Klopp has won six. No other coach has ever defeated Guardiola six times. Guardiola on the other hand, has won five of their 12 matches.
Klopp unveiled the impossible tactic in the first-leg of their Champions league clash. He literally defended a 3-goal lead with a league of defenders that are not above average in all ways. He rose successfully against Guardiola’s super-attacking team that has been a thorn in the flesh of many teams in the league.
However, Guardiola still have his mightily powerful lineup to rely on. Despite their recent poor run, they are still a super-powerful force that strike fear into the heart of all their opponents.
