A father has been detained in Russia accused of sexually abusing his son, 7, over a five year period and then selling the explicit videos and pictures on the dark web. The boy’s mother was described as “scared” and “deeply shocked and hysterical” after discovering her “perfect husband” had confessed to raping the child since he was two, say police.
She told officers she “had no idea” her husband, 35, was serially abusing the boy. Police traced the suspect him after investigating an encrypted website where paedophiles exchange videos and pictures, they say. One film clearly showed the faces of both the man and the boy, it was reported citing law enforcement sources. Another video by the same author helped police trace the man’s IP address, and then his residential address in Moscow. Police this week stormed the flat where the man, described as unemployed, lived with his 35-year-old wife.
