Comedian Frank Donga has pondered over why politicians detest losing elections.
The scientist-turned-entertainer wondered why political office holders insists on maintaining their seats upon completion of their tenure even when the electorates desire a change eventually.
With a Master’s degree in Animal Genetics, Frank Donga, whose real name is Kunle Idowu, termed the ‘desperate act’ of some politicians to forcefully hold on to power as dishonourable as well as shameful.
He said: “I don’t mean to sound naive but why do politicians dread losing elections? I mean it’s a call to serve and solve problems.
“If the people say you’ve tried, you can leave, why do you want to stay by all means? Does your life depend on it? Where’s the honor? Where’s the shame?”
