Why Can’t Our Police Be Kitted As At The Lekki Toll Gate? – Minister Gets Queried

The Minister of Police Affairs Mohammed Dingyadi has been asked why the men of the Nigerian Police Force cannot and have not always been so equipped and kitted as they were last Saturday.
Recall that the Lekki Toll Gate had at the weekend seen a host of security officials guarding fully equipped and with working vehicles to hinder the #OccupyLekkiTollGate protests, which the youths had planned to launch.
As Mohammed Dingyadi showed up as a guest on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily today, the qualitative question as to why the security agency can not combat insecurity with enough arms but unharmful citizens was asked. “The Police that were sent to the Lekki toll gate (last weekend) had vehicles& were well-kitted. What will it take for the Police across the country to be always this prepared?”, the Presenter asked.

“This is the kind of thing we wanted to take place in any situation we find ourselves. What you saw in Lekki, this is how it was supposed to be. They are fully equipped, well informed and they were ready for the #EndSARS protesters There is no much force that was used, it was a minimum force”, he said.
