As the Coronavirus pandemic tarries on the face of the earth, the World Health Organisation WHO has predicted that it is far from to coming to an end.
This was made known by the Director-General of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in a recent news conference.
According to him, there is so much concern about the drastic increase of cases and spread of the virus in Africa, Eastern Europe America and some Asian countries. He then added that despite the huge figures recorded, the cases are underreported in many countries as as a result of low testing capacity. “The pandemic is far from over. We continue to be concerned about the increasing trends in Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America and some Asian countries. As in all regions, cases and deaths are underreported in many countries in these regions, because of low testing capacity. This virus will not be defeated if we are not united, if we are not united, the virus will exploit the cracks between us and continue to create havoc. Lives will be lost“, Tedros said.
