High Chief Raymond Dokpesi has sought to be educated on the correlation between Malaria and the dreaded COVID-19, as he disclosed his treatment process at the isolation centre.
The founder of Daar Communications had two days ago been confirmed negative of COVID-19, alongside two of his grandchildren."When Did Malaria Become Synonymous To COVID-19?", Dokpesi QueriesSpeaking to newsmen, Dokpesi Snr disclosed that he was basically treated with the mosquito-infected illness medications till he turned out negative at the Abuja treatment centre.
He noted further that many people had left the centre before they were told they had COVID-19, adding that many who were claimed to have tested positive to the virus were found to be having malaria parasites in their bloodstreams.
I did not go into Gwagwalada as High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, I went there as an ordinary citizen who complied because I wanted to see what the ordinary man goes through. There is no gainsaying that quite the numbers in Nigeria of the COVID-19 positive people have been rising. There is no gainsaying that our medical personnel as few as they are, are very professional and can be compared to anyone in any part of the world. But I still have doubts in my mind. I still want to be properly educated, I am a bloody mechanic.

What is the difference between COVID-19 which is a virus and malaria which is mosquito illness because every medication we were given was malaria medication? Even some people went before being told that they were COVID-19 positive. They were tested in reputable laboratories in Abuja, they were tested in hospitals in Abuja and what they found was that they have a lot of malaria parasites in their bloodstreams. So when did malaria become synonymous with COVID-19, that is food for thought“, he said.
