Wendy Williams ‘Files For Divorce’ From Husband Kevin Hunter After Cheating Allegations

American TV personality Wendy Williams has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband, Kevin Hunter, after almost 22 years of marriage.

The daytime talk show host married Kevin, 46, in November 1997 and they share one child, 20-year-old son Kevin Jr. In recent weeks, the couple’s marriage has been plagued by allegations of Kevin’s cheating. According to TMZ, Wendy arranged to have the divorce papers served to Kevin at The Wendy Williams Show studios on Thursday morning. It’s claimed that extra security was hired in case an altercation arose but Kevin did not react.

A spokesperson at the Wendy Williams Show said in a statement: ‘Wendy and her family have been a part of Debmar-Mercury for over 10 years. We respect their privacy regarding personal matters. As always, we remain committed to bringing an entertaining and topical show to our viewers.’ During Thursday’s episode, Wendy did not appear to be wearing her wedding ring prompting speculation about the state of her marriage. Wendy’s make-up artist, Merrell Hollis, also shared a video with Wendy quite clearly seen without the large diamond ring on her finger.

Reports of the divorce come after a turbulent few weeks for Wendy. In March, it was alleged that Kevin had welcomed a baby with his reported mistress, Sharina Hudson. Sharina was reported to have given birth to a baby girl at the Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Earlier that month, Wendy revealed she has moved out of the marital home and into a sober living house to overcome addiction issues. The talk show host recently spoke highly about her marriage to Kevin, saying in one episode: ‘I want to shout out to my husband. I’m still wearing my ring. Believe me you, when you’ve been with somebody for 28 years…married for 25 years…we know each other.’
