Well Done Boys! Putin Congratulate Russian Team After Historic Victory Over Spain

Russian President, Vladimir Putin has congratulated the national football team on their historic over Spain in the knockout stage of the 2018 FIFA world cup.
The Russian maestros literally delivered the upset of the weekend when they defeated Spain 4-3 on penalties. The historic win sent the host nation into the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Speaking in a press conference after the match, Kremlin press secretary, Dmitry Peskov said: “As with the whole country, Putin watched the game from the start and supported the team. Even before the match, around midday, the president called the trainer to wish the team luck in the game, and also noted that under Cherchesov’s leadership our guys had already achieved a lot – we got out of the group, and that gives the chance to play freely, at full strength, using all our talent.”
